As seen on our Whole30 Challenge: Day 24. Click to read more!
I've never been a big fan of nuts, especially not pecans, until I started roasting them, which really does bring out their flavor. I never realized how much better roasted pecans tasted compared to just eating them straight out of the bag. I now roast a big batch and serve them on everything from salads to sweet potatoes to fruit, or even as a healthy snack.

This version is so easy and only takes 5 minutes!
Whole30 Sea Salt Roasted Pecans
INGREDIENTS:
- pecans
- avocado oil spray (or olive oil spray)
- sea salt
STEPS:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cover baking sheet with aluminum foil (to minimize cleanup).
- Place almonds on baking sheet.
- Spray almonds with avocado oil spray (or olive oil spray) and lightly sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake for 5 minutes.
TIP:
- Many times, you can find this avocado spray at HomeGoods or Marshalls for $4.99, which beats the $9.99 price in many grocery stores. You can also find it online for under $5 too.

Whole30 Sweet Potato Pie Delight
I also have a Whole30 twist on making these slightly sweet, which pairs amazingly on our Whole30 Sweet Potato Pie Delight (shown below). Check out both links to see the full recipes: Whole30 Cinnamon-Spiced Roasted Pecans.
